 I’m DJ Daugherty, founder of Daugherty Design Group. After spending more than 25 years working in construction, I saw firsthand how often projects were slowed down—or derailed—by missing or inaccurate information during the design phase. Designs looked good on paper, but didn’t always reflect what was actually happening in the field.

I started Daugherty Design Group to change that. My goal was simple: bring real construction experience into the design process. By combining my background in the field with advanced 3D laser scanning and detailed 3D modeling, I help teams capture accurate existing conditions and make informed decisions before construction ever begins.

Our modeling and drafting services transform raw point cloud data into precise, constructible deliverables, including as-built models, Scan-to-BIM models, and coordinated drawings tailored to each project’s needs. These models support design development, renovation planning, clash detection, and construction coordination, giving project teams a reliable digital representation they can trust.
